Amani emphasized the importance of street lighting, its relationship to feeling safe and enhancing women’s freedom of movement after sunset.* She added light posts and placed benches next to roads, located several bus stops, and converted a segment of a street leading to the banks of the valley into a pedestrian path. Amani proposed some basic services and shops such as a bakery, a pharmacy, a clinic, clothing and beauty shops, a celebrations hall, and a sports club. As for education, she expanded the school to include a high school and created a nursery, noting the importance of the latter for supporting working women. She created a women’s salon as her own project, and considered it important to create projects to encourage domestic tourism; such as a resort near the banks of Wadi alDilb that includes small chalets, as well as an amusement park and entertainment venues.
